Captain Morgan Fraczkowski’s love for the water began along Maryland’s Susquehanna River, but it truly took hold after she made Virginia’s Northern Neck home in 2015.

As a woman forging her own path in the traditionally male-dominated maritime industry, Captain Morgan has built a life and career around the water. She is passionate about mentoring aspiring mariners, encouraging women to pursue careers on the water, and sharing the confidence and freedom that sailing has given her.

For the past seven years, Morgan has called a sailboat home. Today, she lives aboard her dream vessel, Blossom, a classic Formosa 41, alongside her pups, Grits and Gravy. Her experience at the helm has taken her throughout the Chesapeake Bay and hundreds of miles along the East Coast, both offshore and along the Intracoastal Waterway. Whether commanding a charter, delivering a vessel, or teaching someone the fundamentals of sailing, she brings a strong emphasis on seamanship, safety, and respect for the marine environment.

Following the loss of her father to pancreatic cancer in 2020, Morgan’s relationship with the water took on an even deeper meaning. His passing became a powerful reminder of how short and precious life can be. She found comfort and healing aboard her first sailboat and ultimately chose to build a life centered around the place where she felt most at peace — on the water.

That journey eventually became Sweet Sea Charters, allowing Captain Morgan to share with others the adventure, beauty, and tranquility she found at sea.

Today, she continues to captain private sailing experiences throughout Virginia’s Northern Neck and the Chesapeake Bay while also working as a woodworker, yacht broker and delivery captain. More than anything, Captain Morgan hopes every guest steps aboard, disconnects from the shore for a while, and leaves with a little more love for life on the water.
